The brilliant thing about Summer is the abundance of tasty fresh food available.
Although I can't take credit for the items in the above photos,(bought I'm afraid!) I do have a small garden and try and grow some veggies each year. The problem with the UK climate, (especially here in the North) is that we have a pretty short growing season but it's so nice to be able to take something straight from the ground and cook it for dinner. This year I'm growing, potatoes, spinach, kolhrabi, runner beans, french beans, courgette, and in the greenhouse; tomatoes, aubergine, mini sweetcorn, pak choi, rocket and lettuce. Oh and I have an gooseberry, apple and plum trees. Expect some photos and recipes in the coming weeks!...

i have to buy locally too - beautiful shots
You have a green house. *Sigh*. Impressive planting. My garden and I are missing the sun. Everything's at a standstill.
Enjoy that asparagus. It looks so fresh.
I wish I had a greenhouse but space doesn't permit. Love local grown foods, for so many reasons.
Your apple photo is scrumptious.
eagerly awaiting photos and recipes!!
